While you've been enjoying the short days, misty mornings and clear light of the winter in progress, we've been hard at work to do better at what we do best – provide you the perfect toehold for your photographic needs and aspirations.  Read on to learn about the exciting new updates that are designed to help you do more of what you love and be yourself this winter.

New Infrastructure
In our efforts to centralize our services, we have just developed a spanking new 2000sqft space at at our Bangalore headquarters.  The highlight of this facility, as featured in the adjoining images, is a fully equipped 25-seat classroom for our workshops, which doubles up as a photo gallery at other times.  The office space also houses the rentals store and staff workstations.

New Workforce
As a part of our relentless endeavour to devise means of serving you better and connecting with you in newer and innovative ways, we have expanded our dedicated workforce to add more talented professionals.

Santosh Saligram, a writer and photographer with an unending passion for “tigers and all things feline”, assumes the role of Content Head.  He will lead the company’s creative and technical communication to make our website more engaging and our service announcements harder to ignore.  He will also jointly lead select Photo Tours to share his hard-earned knowledge and experience in photography, especially of tigers.  

Joining us also is Rajiv Shyamsundar, a young Business Development Officer who will facilitate growth by sowing the Toehold seed in new shores, leading marketing efforts and building strong customer and vendor relationships. Lekha V joins us to resume the role of Customer Service Executive to handle the Equipment Rentals Clientele, being your personal service officer for rental transactions and the first point of contact for collections and submissions of hired equipment.

New Equipment
Our impressive arsenal of top-notch photography equipment just got even more potent.  From a video camera to an elaborate studio setup, we've procured a host of new equipment and updated our already well-stocked quiver of SLR cameras and lenses.  Now choose from a wider range of optical, digital and lighting tools and enjoy maximum creative freedom.  Here's what's new:

New Destinations and Genres
As people bitten by the creative itch, we constantly strive to explore the unexplored and tread off the beaten path to bring you new experiences.  We open ourselves to the world so we may open the world to you.

In this vein, our ‘chief imaging architect’, Jayanth Sharma, completed highly successful pioneering tours to Kamchatka in Russia photographing Brown Bears and Churchill in Canada photographing their Polar counterparts, as evident from the sensational images he brought back.

Elsewhere, Toehold's Darren Centofanti spent a week tutoring enthusiasts on capturing the sizzling beauty of international models on the exotic beaches of the Maldives during the inaugural Swimsuit and Glamour Photography Workshop.

Closer home, Sachin Rai, Phillip Ross and Santosh Saligram led highly productive twin-Tours to the Central Indian parks of Bandhavgarh and Kanha, helping Tour participants photograph Tigers and other lavish riches of the winter forests in all their glory.
