Underwater Photography Bootcamp
There is a universe of life under water that rightfully demands immense love, dedication, and some hard work from us to behold and appreciate its beauty. In absolute silence, when you are under water, beauty can speak to in myriad colours, and this is no less than meditation.
If you are preparing yourself for some adventure such as this, our Underwater Photography Bootcamp is just what you need. Take a plunge, quite literally, under the guidance of professionals who help you not only explore but also make art of life under water. Sign up now! Or, should we say, 'dive into' the opportunity now so that you become eligible to get PADI certified!
What is it?
The Underwater Photography Bootcamp is the perfect beginning for you to start discovering everything beneath the surface of water, existing in the deep resonating rumble. It is a thorough workshop crafted to help you first master diving, followed by underwater photography. This workshop is held outdoors to enable you to try concepts practically, firsthand, in real situations, and is mentored by a professional photographer with years of experience.
It includes a brief theoretical introduction to underwater photography and camera housings, in a pool, to begin with. Once you get acquainted with the theory and undergo confined water training, and are familiarised with all the educational material and the mandatory dive equipment, along with the expert's guidance, you will become eligible to pursue your certification by PADI. And therefore in effect, this Workshop, utilising the facilities at the Camp and the expertise of the Mentor, will help you accomplish your first step on a deep and fulfilling journey.
What you will learn:
For an exciting start, you will be introduced to scuba diving in a controlled environment. As a part of knowledge development, you will understand the complete use of the appropriate camera and its housing/casing equipment. Along with confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills and open water dives to use your skills and explore, there will also be indoor sessions where concepts will be discussed and images will be reviewed.
Once you complete the followup to this Workshop, you will be a fully certified PADI diver with licence to dive anywhere in the world, be certified as a PADI Specialty Underwater Photographer, be competent in handling a camera underwater, have a portfolio of ten to twenty good underwater images covering macro and wide angle subjects, and have experience using two or more different underwater camera setups to help you, should you choose to invest in your own equipment.
Our Underwater Photography Mentor, who has introduced numerous enthusiasts to the mysteriously beautiful reefs of the Indian Ocean, will kindle your passion and wonder, just as you begin your journey of making images in water. Crucially, you will have a world of opportunities ahead of you after this Workshop and the subsequent certification (not included in this Workshop). You will be able to pursue diving in exotic locations to explore and photograph the overwhelming range of flora and fauna that exist in the watery realms.
