This course delves into great detail and technology discussions and gets deeper into the science of how cameras work, we should never forget the goal – perhaps is to produce Art.

There could be someone dabbling with the camera for years without knowing something basic. While someone who’s just picked up a DSLR last week may be operating some advanced feature after learning about it on YouTube.

So rather than calling our course “Basics of Photography” or “Advanced Photography Course” we rebranded it as “The Art & Science of Photography”. Honestly, we wanted it to be ambiguous and not create a bias. But over the years, we have often seen that learners who thought were advanced as well as beginners have a lot to learn irrespective of the number of times they have used a camera, before deciding to actually get into a class like this.

So our promise to subscribers of classes like these would be: Whatever is your current situation and level of understanding, what this course would do is to structure your understanding and introduce concepts and jargon. Demystify various features of the camera and theories in photography, while showing my own pictures amongst many other photographer’s work to illustrate the concepts.

We’ve trained over 10,000 individuals here at Toehold, all over the country on plenty of class-room workshops since 2009 and these exhaustive modules are our secrets of photography bundled together to spread the spirit of learning.

Teaching photography is amongst the most satisfying things I’ve done so far and this course is a reflection of who I am and what I know of in this world of photography.
