What’s more, its length ensures even the longest telephoto lenses are balanced and supported securely, and its aluminium alloy material is incredibly strong. So with LensPlate, having a lot on your ‘plate’ is not a problem at all, but a good thing!
LensPlate comes in two sizes – L and XL. Get the L if your lens is a 300mm f/2.8 or smaller, and the XL for use with lenses with focal length 400mm or higher.
With which lenses can I use LensPlate?
You can use LensPlate with any telephoto lens, but we particularly strongly recommend it for heavy and ultra telephoto lenses like the 300mm f/2.8 lens and above.
With what heads is LensPlate compatible?
LensPlate is compatible with gimbal heads, the PanPod head, and other sliding-plate-style heads.
How much weight can LensPlate support?
LensPlate can support the weight of any ultra-telephoto lens in existence, so you don’t have to worry about the weight limit at all.
Nifty. What about strength?
The grade of aluminium alloy used to make LensPlate is of the highest quality, and each LensPlate is stress-tested to ensure the highest standards of strength. No matter what lens you use with it, your LensPlate is likely to deliver durability for years.
Sounds assuring. Is LensPlate available in multiple sizes?
Yes! LensPlate comes in two sizes – L, measuring 15 cm and having one screw-groove, and XL, measuring 16.8 cm and having two screw-grooves.
Very good. Which size should I buy?
We recommend the L if your lens is a 300mm f/2.8 or smaller, and the XL for use with lenses with focal length 400mm or higher.
Is the Allen key included with both?
Yes. An Allen key comes free with both LensPlate L and XL.
