Kenya, East Africa

A destination with primordial picture – grasslands and deltas and forests, prey and predators teaming up to spawn the most spectacular wilderness sites on the planet. A land with an exceptional population of big cats and elephants and other bountiful wildlife and home to the ‘Mecca of Wildlife’ – Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Samburu and Tsavo. Kenya is the African country you need to visit to see where humans are known to have first come from.

While you enjoy your time in Kenya as a wildlife lover, also cherish human experiences such as meeting and getting acquainted with the lifestyle and culture of the Masai and other tribes. This is, in every sense of the phrase, a home away from home.

What you will see and experience:

Kenya is a wonderland of sorts. This is a great place for wildlife lovers to engage in wildlife safaris in places like Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Samburu and various other national parks. Tourists can also visit native tribes of Kenya and indulge in leisure holidays too.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

A part of the Greater Mara Ecosystem, the Masai Mara National Reserve nurtures over 250 species of birds and a mind-boggling diversity of mammals. This includes the African lion, African leopard, cheetah, African elephant, hyaena, ostrich, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, zebra, impala, warthogs, hippopotamus, crowned crane, bateleur eagle.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is historically famous for anywhere between thousands and millions of flamingos thronging the eponymous lake. It is a must-visit for its incredible avian richness, and its sublime green fever-tree environs that offer great opportunity to see predators. Other attractions of this wetland sanctuary surrounding the soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley include pelicans, Rothschild’s giraffe, flourishing populations of baboon, warthog, Burchell’s zebra and one of the highest densities of black rhino.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is synonymous with elephants, so much so that it’s called “Africa’s elephant park”!  It affords the unique opportunity to observe some of Africa’s biggest bulls and other wildlife in spectacular vistas overlooked by the Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The big cat trinity is there too, just so you don’t feel left out.

Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve, where the Ewaso Ng’iro (meaning ‘brown water’) river flows through thick acacia and riverine forests, and grasslands, makes a very interesting landscape for you to see. But most importantly, animals that are hard to find elsewhere are here: gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and the Grevy’s zebra, an endangered cousin of the commoner plains zebra.
