On a photography tour to Hampi, there will be about 7 participants along with a Toehold skipper. This group size ensures a comfortable experience and ample of opportunities for photography.

The best time to visit Hampi is from October to February when the weather is pleasant and ideal for exploring.

The nearest airport to Hampi is Hubli Airport (HBX), approximately 160 km away. From Hubli, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Hampi. Alternatively, you can fly to Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore (approximately 340 km away) and comfortably reach Hampi by road. Please talk to us for any assitance regarding road transfers to reach your destination.

In Hampi, considering the nature of the subjects and shooting conditions expected on this Tour, lenses in the range of 10 mm to 200 mm are suitable. We also recommend the ultra-wide angle and wide angle lenses to maximise photo opportunities. Circular polarising and graduated neutral density filters are highly recommended. Tripods are not allowed inside temple premises, so we suggest that you don’t carry them to where the ruins are.

While we will use motorized transport to get to the premises from the hotel and back in Hampi, most or all of the photography will be done on foot. For this reason, at least a minimum fitness level is required.

In Hampi, mobile network coverage and WiFi in hotels is generally available, but it can be spotty or weak in some areas due to the region's historical and rural setting. Major network providers usually have some coverage, but it may vary depending on your location within Hampi.
