Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Afternoon Safari and Overnight in Bhadra

Arrive at Bhadra and drive to the lodge located close to the sanctuary. The journey gradually moves from towns into greener and more forested surroundings.

After check-in and a short rest, head out for your first afternoon safari. This drive introduces you to the forest, river edges and open areas, where wildlife activity begins to increase as the day progresses.

Return to the lodge in the evening, followed by tea and introductions with the skipper and fellow participants. A short orientation session covers the forest, wildlife behaviour and the approach for the safaris. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Morning and Afternoon Safaris, and Overnight in Bhadra

The day starts early with a morning safari, entering the forest as it begins to come alive. The early hours offer good opportunities to observe wildlife movement, bird activity, and interactions along forest tracks and near water. After the safari, return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest.

In the afternoon, head out again for another safari. As temperatures rise, wildlife tends to stay closer to water and shaded areas, offering a different perspective compared to the morning drive.

Throughout the safaris, the skipper works closely with the guide and driver, adjusting to the conditions and making the most of each opportunity.

Evenings are relaxed, with time for discussions, reviewing images and sharing experiences over dinner, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Safari and Dispersal

On the final day, head out for one last morning safari. This is a quieter drive, offering a final chance to spend time in the forest and observe its rhythm. After returning to the lodge, have breakfast and check out. The tour concludes with your departure from Bhadra, carrying back memories and photographs from the forest.
