Using a tripod on a jeep safari might not be a practical option as even if you are the only one in the vehicle, it would be very difficult to make space for a large tripod to support your setup.However, you may carry it if you intend to make long-exposure images after dark (on the lodge premises). While on a safari, we would suggest using a Beanbag as they can be mounted either on the side of the vehicle or on its door, to give you a place to rest your shoulders.
